Welcome to the Ball Cards Market!
I started collecting baseball cards in 1971 when I was about 10 years old. I have the complete Topps sets (completed the hard way!) from 1972 through 1977, and tons of doubles cards for those years as well. I'd like to try to sell most of those cards, either on eBay or on my KenbobsPlace.com web site.
My favorite baseball cards, though, are cards from the mid 1950's. I used to go to card shows and trade some of my more valuable 1970's cards for 1950's cards in lesser condition and thought I was getting a steal! 1970's cards just weren't nearly as exciting to own as 1950's cards were, since I had so many of them and so few 1950's cards.
With the advent of eBay, finding good 1950's baseball cards (or any cards) became easy and usually quite a bit cheaper than at card shows or card shops. I prefer to buy cards that are in fair to good condition, and not excellent or mint condition, because I like to hold them in my hands - I don't like looking at them through plastic sheets in binders - I like to shuffle through them, sort them, smell them, OWN them.
My 1970's baseball cards are still in excellent condition, though, for the most part, because most of them have been sitting in boxes for many years now.
Anyway, I created this Ball Cards Market web site to provide a convenient way of navigating all the baseball card categories available at eBay, for myself and others hopefully, and to refer people to my other KenbobsPlace.com web site where I'll be selling my 1970's cards. Check it out!
Use the menu on the right for easy navigation of the vast eBay marketplace. And have fun finding good deals at the eBay auctions going on constantly!
